Spotlight on Greenville:: Summer Events

Summer is right around the corner and that means warm weather, lake days, and family vacations. As in most cities, summer rocks here in Greenville, full of festivals, events, and activities for the whole family to enjoy all summer long.

We thought it would be fun to round up some of our favorite events happening this summer in Greenville for you to mark on your calendar and start getting the family excited.

TD Saturday Market:: From May 3 to October 25, head downtown every Saturday from 8:30am to 12:30pm to purchase locally grown plants and produce along with meat and baked goods and sample delicious food from local vendors and restaurants in the area.

Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movie Series:: Watch a free movie in Falls Park every Wednesday in May and September. Movies start at sun down {8pm}.

Upstate Shakespeare Festival:: Watch some of your favorite Shakespeare plays in Falls Park as well this summer. From May 22 to June 15, the Warehouse Theater is presenting The Two Gentlemen of Verona and from July 10 to August 3 Antony and Cleopatra. Shows run Thursday through Sunday starting at 7:00pm.

SC Blue Reedy River Concerts:: Enjoy a free musical concert from a variety of genres like jazz, countr, and rock and roll every Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in June, July, and August at the TD Stage at the Peace Center.

Red, White & Blue Festival:: Free event on Thursday, July 4 from 5pm to 10:30pm. Enjoy a free fireworks show in downtown Greenville along with musical entertainment and fun activities for the kiddos.

Outdoor Movies & Concerts at the Shops at Greenridge:: Enjoy free live music every Friday and Saturday night at The Shops at Greenridge. There are also free movies shown in August every Friday night beginning at dusk {usually between 7:30pm and 8:15pm}.
